Recepcia is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to make our platform inclusive and usable by as broad an audience as possible.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
While WCAG 2.1 Level AA is our target, we also incorporate best practices from WCAG 2.2 where applicable to ensure we are prepared for evolving accessibility standards.
The Recepcia platform includes the following accessibility features:
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements, including navigation menus, buttons, forms, modals, and dropdown menus, are fully operable using a keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible to help users track their position within the interface.
Screen Reader Compatibility
We use semantic HTML elements, ARIA labels, and landmark roles to ensure our platform is compatible with popular screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. Images and icons include appropriate alternative text descriptions.
Color Contrast and Visual Design
Text and interactive elements maintain sufficient color contrast ratios as defined by WCAG 2.1 AA. Information is not conveyed solely through color; visual cues such as icons, labels, and patterns are provided as additional indicators.
Dark Mode and Theme Support
The platform supports Light, Dark, and Auto (system preference) color modes. Users can switch between modes using the sidebar toggle. Dark mode reduces visual strain in low-light environments and may benefit users with light sensitivity conditions.
Responsive Design
The interface is fully responsive and adapts to different screen sizes, orientations, and zoom levels. Content remains usable at up to 200% browser zoom. Touch targets on mobile devices meet minimum size requirements for ease of interaction.
Text and Readability
Text sizes can be adjusted through browser settings without loss of content or functionality. We use clear, legible fonts and maintain adequate line spacing and paragraph spacing for readability.
Form Accessibility
All form fields include descriptive labels, clear placeholder text, and meaningful error messages. Required fields are clearly indicated. Form validation errors provide specific guidance to help users correct their input.
Multi-Language Support
The AI receptionist supports 25+ languages for voice calls, SMS, and chat, ensuring that non-English speakers can interact with the system in their preferred language.
Call Transcription
All phone calls are automatically transcribed, providing text-based records of voice conversations. This supports users who are deaf or hard of hearing by ensuring that call content is available in written form.
Import Review and Data Entry
Product catalog import (Image OCR / Import PDF) opens an OCR Import Review modal with a keyboard-accessible table for editing extracted rows. Confidence levels, warnings, and blocked reasons are shown with text labels—not color alone—so users can understand which rows need correction before save.
Our AI receptionist operates across multiple communication channels: voice calls, SMS, email, WhatsApp, and a website chat widget. This multi-channel approach provides flexibility for users who may prefer or require a specific communication method based on their abilities.
The embeddable website widget supports both chat and voice modes. The widget is keyboard-navigable, compatible with screen readers, and supports customizable themes (including dark mode) to accommodate users with visual preferences or sensitivities.
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of the platform.

Our platform integrates with third-party services including Twilio (telephony), OpenAI (AI processing), Google (calendar sync, maps), Microsoft (email, calendar), and various ecommerce platforms. While we select partners that share our commitment to accessibility, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content or services fully conform to accessibility standards.
